Follow Your Dreams (at any age)

After taking middle-eastern classes in nearby city, I found I would have benefited from dvds from Ansuya, Brice and many other enthusiastic instructors. Having had no dance class offered in the ranch communities of rural Oklahoma, I found that most beginner classes around here assumed you must have taken ballet. I was humiliated at times, but I learned a lot about basic egyptian/cabaret dance. With the help of qualiry dvds, I now play hand cymbals and dance to basic rhytmns. I even balance my sword thanks to princess farana. I have found a class that seems like the instructors are encouraging and very happy teaching. I plan to get back in class for those benefits only served by a caring, gifted teacher. I am glad I did not let one burned out instructor stop me from fullfilling a lifelong dream, to do middle eastern dance. And it is a great way to stay young and in tip top shape. Happy dancing! Now I will be in an air conditioned, spacious studio, to try some traveling steps I want to work on, Later,Gypsy.
